- With the digital transformation, the design possibilities of educational and learning contexts in continuing education are changing. In this context, it is not only the availa bility of digital media at the micro-didactic level that is decisive for realising their media-didactic potential. Other influencing factors are relevant, ranging from institu tional to individual prerequisites. The article discusses this in the light of the supplyuse-effect model. It becomes clear that the realisation of the potential of digital media for the methodological-didactic design of teaching-learning situations must be consid ered in the context of an interdependent set of relationships between processors and inhibitors at the macro, meso and micro levels of continuing education.
