- <jats:p>If <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" mime-subtype="gif" xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="S0010437X16008277_inline1" /><jats:tex-math>$(G,V)$</jats:tex-math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> is a polar representation with Cartan subspace <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" mime-subtype="gif" xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="S0010437X16008277_inline2" /><jats:tex-math>$\mathfrak{c}$</jats:tex-math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> and Weyl group <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" mime-subtype="gif" xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="S0010437X16008277_inline3" /><jats:tex-math>$W$</jats:tex-math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>, it is shown that there is a natural morphism of Poisson schemes <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" mime-subtype="gif" xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="S0010437X16008277_inline4" /><jats:tex-math>$\mathfrak{c}\oplus \mathfrak{c}^{\ast }/W\rightarrow V\oplus V^{\ast }/\!\!/\!\!/G$</jats:tex-math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>. This morphism is conjectured to be an isomorphism of the underlying reduced varieties if<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" mime-subtype="gif" xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="S0010437X16008277_inline5" /><jats:tex-math>$(G,V)$</jats:tex-math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> is visible. The conjecture is proved for visible stable locally free polar representations and some other examples.</jats:p>

- Abstract
- If $(G,V)$ is a polar representation with Cartan subspace $\mathfrak c$ and Weyl group $W$, it is shown that there is a natural morphism of Poisson schemes $\mathfrak c \oplus {\mathfrak c}^*/W \to V\oplus V^*/\!\!/\!\!/ G$. This morphism is conjectured to be an isomorphism of the underlying reduced varieties if $(G,V)$ is visible. The conjecture is proved for visible stable locally free polar representations and certain further examples.
