- <jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract</jats:sc> </jats:title><jats:p>Using 2.93 fb<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup> of <jats:italic>e</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>e</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic></jats:sup> collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy 3.773 GeV, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay <jats:italic>D</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>→</jats:italic><jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {K}_S^0 $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msubsup> <mml:mi>K</mml:mi> <mml:mi>S</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msubsup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup> and determine the relative magnitudes and phases of different intermediate processes. The absolute branching fraction of <jats:italic>D</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>→</jats:italic><jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {K}_S^0 $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msubsup> <mml:mi>K</mml:mi> <mml:mi>S</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msubsup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup> is measured to be (2.888 <jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0.058<jats:sub>stat<jats:italic>.</jats:italic></jats:sub><jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0.069<jats:sub>syst<jats:italic>.</jats:italic></jats:sub>)%.
