- <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Cyclohexane‐based polyaminopolyalcohols (PAPAs) such as 1,3‐diamino‐1,2,3‐trideoxy‐<jats:italic>cis</jats:italic>‐inositol (daci) have been prepared by hydrogenation of suitable aromatic precursors. The pentanuclear complex [Cu<jats:sub>5</jats:sub>(daci)<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>(H<jats:sub>–2</jats:sub>daci)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>](SO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub><jats:bold>·</jats:bold>18H<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O (<jats:bold>C3</jats:bold>) revealed antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions between the Cu<jats:sup>II</jats:sup> centers with an <jats:italic>S</jats:italic> = 3/2 ground state. The microporous structure of <jats:bold>C3</jats:bold> exhibited a dehydration/rehydration reaction with an entirely amorphous dehydrated phase at 150 °C and a completely reversible rehydration process at 30 °C. The potential of PAPA ligands for forming polynuclear complexes and supramolecular, hydrogen‐bonded networks is discussed.</jats:p>
